Classroom Rules

1.
Come to class with a positive attitude
2.
Be seated before the tardy bell rings with all required materials and sharpened pencils
3.
Sit in assigned seat daily
4.
Follow directions the first time they are given
5.
Respect others
6.
Follow the rules outlined in the Student Handbook and all laboratory safety rules

Behavior: Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Any behavior that impedes upon the
right of your classmates to learn will result in parental contact, a deduction of your
participation grade, and possibly administrative action.

Make-up Work
It is the student's responsibility to make-up any missed work and/or class time, regardless of whether the absence is excused or unexcused. A student has five school days after absence to make-up missed work. After five days, a zero will be given on missed work.
The teacher will be available to help students and for Make-up Tests on the following schedule:

Make-up Tests: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 8:00am and/or Monday through Thursday 3:15pm - 4:15pm with prior arrangement
Student Help: Monday through Friday 7:30am - 8:00am and/or Monday through Thursday 3:15pm - 4:15pm with prior arrangement

Classroom Materials - (Chemistry and Honors Chemistry)

1.
A three ring binder specifically for my class with four dividers (labeled:  notes, bellringers, homework, labs and quizzes).  There will be periodic notebook checks, so keep it organized and up to date.  Don’t worry, I’ll show you how.
2.
Pencils, pens, highlighters, and erasers – pencils must be used on all tests.
3.
Student book
4.
Scientific Calculator – TI-30X IIS is the minimum requirement for my class.  
5.
A healthy supply of loose-leaf paper and several sheets of graph paper
6.
A pack of 3x5 notecards

Classroom Materials – (AP Chemistry)


1.
A three ring binder specifically for my class with five dividers (labeled:  notes, homework, labs, chem. logs, and quizzes).
2.
  • Pencils, pens, highlighters, and erasers – pencils must be used on all tests.
3.
Student book
4.
Scientific Calculator – TI-30X IIS is the minimum requirement for my class although; a graphing calculator may prove useful.
5.
A healthy supply of loose-leaf paper and several sheets of graph paper
6.
Several packs of 3x5 notecards
7.
Princeton’s AP Chemistry Review by Paul Foglino, Princeton Review Publishing
8.
One bound composition book – this will be your lab notebook.
